We opened our first shop on Maynooths Main Street where we sell our handmade L'art du chocolat product along side a number of handpicked fine food brands.
The Chocolate Bar
At our Maynooth shop The Chocolate Bar we sell a range of fine foods in our retail section as well as offer a wide range of handmade french foods and treats on our take away menu along with quality coffees and our famous ganache hot chocolates.
Change of Service
Our Maynooth cafe,The Chocolate Bar will be opening four days a week from 11am - 4pm Thursdays to Sundays only. We have a new online order system, for collection only.
We have drastically reduced our menu so please be aware some items you may want to order may not be available and for the time being only the items listed can be ordered.
All orders must be made on the click and collect site only please remember orders cannot be made over the phone, email or via our social media

In our new fine foods section you will find a range of high quality foods, wines, and of course a selection of our own handmade chocolate, including our Chocolate Slabs, Mendiants, Chocolate Sausages and our Caramel Balls.
We are still offering a range of occasion cakes but you must contact us via email at email@example.com or call us on 01 629 1491 to make an order. All payments must be made in store on collection.
You will notice many changes to our premise and menu over the next few weeks but we would like to assure our customers that the heart of our business has not changed and we are still determined to offer the best and most delicious high quality foods and treats.

Nicolas Bateau and Cyril Borie are from Bayonne, a city in the French Basque Country known as the chocolate capital of France. Their work as a chef and pastry chef brought them to Ireland, and the pair set up L’Art Du Chocolat in 2013, operating out of a location in the K Club for the first few years.
They opened the doors of the Chocolate Bar cafe on Maynooth’s Main Street in November 2016.
In June of 2020 the shop was renamed and transformed to a french delicatessen where they now sell fine food and offer a french style takeaway menu.
